Back in the Saddle

It has been a very, very long time since I last posted. Last I wrote, I think I was stateside for a visit.

It was a whammy of a trip– great, full of encouragement, fast-paced, but with some hard personal things that got thrown in my lap– and I arrived back to send my child on a field trip some 18 hours later.

It was only a 3-hour activity to pick some grapes.

But my other kid did start her next semester of school the day after that.

So. Needless to say, it was crazy.

And then we had health issues– my husband needing to change his diet due to chronic gastritis.

And we confirmed that my daughter has a peanut allergy, so we had to learn to start checking all food labels.

And so, it was a bit difficult to come on here and describe our world when I was still trying to both keep up with mine and figure it out at the same time.

The last season has been a lot about learning.

I know we’re supposed to always be learning and all that good-sounding stuff, but sometimes it’s comforting if you’re already down and familiar with it all.

But, thankfully, I’ve learned a lot. I’m on to a new season of learning now, with getting our ministry officially recognized as an entity and also learning the ins-and-outs of PTA, which will be another topic of discussion.
